Wow! Boy do people of Birmingham need to be on the look out for a good methamphetamine treatment program. In looking the drug treatment admissions for substance abuse treatment the methamphetamine production in Birmingham and Alabama is on the rise.

Of course Crack Cocaine is always prevalent and in supply thanks to our friends to the south in Mexico, Colombia and the Caribbean. The motorcycle gangs are keeping steady of meth manufactured. Its too bad I really couldn't find any Birmingham drug rehab  programs that offered any real help.

There are some Christain based programs that offer help if a person is willing to into to treatment for that length of time, up to 12-18 months and is up for that brand of methamphetamine addiction treatment. The length of time on the program is good and can obvioulsy produce change spiritually for a person.

Other drug rehab and addiction treatment programs like the bio-physical/social education model program offer really good success rates for meth addiction treatment but its too bad I didnt find any in Birmingham, you have to go out of state to find one of those.

As someone who was addicted to meth for years and watched many people attempt to stop abusing and fail, I know what it takes to get adequate meth treatment. Had it not been for going through a biophysical drug rehab program over ten years ago I wouldnt be writing this blog now Im certain.

I just read an article of a new miracle drug that is supposed to reduce the cravings for methamphetamine which I think is ridiculous. For years pharmaceutical companies have been touting to good to be true miracle cures, and its amazes me that people fall for that line of crap.

I have had friends who have died from meth overdoses, and I am almost did myself. I was looking at several hundred thousands dollars in fines and years in federal prison and still could not stop using. I went to a drug rehab program and it took two months just for me to start thinking clearly again. It took another two to sort out which direction I was going in life.

You can't fix years of drug addiction with more chemicals and toxins and any drug rehab center that says it can is lying to you. Meth is on the rise again so please keep an eye on your family and dont take things for granted. If someone shows signs of irresponsible behavior its an indicator of things to come.

No matter how long a person's addiction has been going on, they still will likely want to avoid getting help as long as possible. Soemthing else to do, don't like that place, and a whole variety of other things spoken and thought which prevent the person from committing themselves to getting help Right NOW.

 

It is right now that the help is needed. Not latter when many more bad things have happened. Help someone get the help they need right now and not latter.
